@JITIU4L Subtract is supposedly going to be lo-fi acoustic, so low production. Afterglow wasn't a lead single for his next album but a stand alone song.

@Veronica M Thanks I checked out the acoustic version and loved it. I get what ur saying about playlists. I just have so much voice envy! Wish I had half of Ed's training, ability, talent.... Prismizer, vocoder, or messina, etc, i hope his upcoming album takes it easy on the voice effects.

Ed's next studio album 'Subtract' expected to be released sometime this year, will be more stripped acoustic type songs, and not a big pop album like 'Divide'

an Italian producer used an vocoder on Ed's backing vocals to layer them, he doesn't usually use one . guess if released an acoustic song with just a guitar on radio, itunes and spotify etc would be deemed 'too basic', so added a little extra. there is also an acoustic version on Ed's youtube channel :)
