I took two semesters of Astronomy in college, and loved it, but I never even understood what Trigonometry was until I watched this video. Kind of mind-blowing. I wish math was taught this way in school. Thanks man, you are doing good work.

I love space, everything about the universe and planets and our solar system, I always wanted to be an astronaut when I was younger until I started developing several immune system diseases. The whole first section was oddly nostalgic for me. Math wasn’t my favorite subject but I have a lot of fun memories and this topic in particular always stands out in my memory

His voice reminds me of one of my teachers that allowed us to sleep in class if we had worked ahead the day before and i can fall asleep to it so easily and his videos remind me of school and how relaxed some of the lessons were

It’s so interesting watching and learning about the scale of our solar system through this ASMR channel. Come to think of it, it would be interesting to learn about our ocean and the extreme vastness of the lifeforms you’ll find in it, as we know more about space than we do our own oceans.

1:17:49 - The scale of technological advancement over the past century is incomprehensible. It is no wonder there are such severe generational conflicts in America right now. And it's still accelerating; it won't be long before there are worldview conflicts between people born years apart rather than decades apart. As a front-line Millennial (I was born in 1982), I already see some of that; people 5 years older than me and younger than me struggle to relate to me, and struggle even more to relate to each other. It is predicted that Millennials will experience the equivalent of _20,000 years_ of pre-industrial technological advancement in our lifetimes.

Rich, you are truly an inspiration with your art, knowledge, and overall ASMR mastery. First of all the subject of Size, Distance, and Time are just an absolutely huge conversation to tackle. I always think back to the Pale Blue Dot by Carl Sagan---almost brings tears to the eyes---and just that comparison/analogy. I think the true scale and size of the universe of one of those things the human mind just cannot fully comprehend. We view the universe in a human centric way, and to see the actual vast scale of existence the universe would be almost too painful for us to truly comprehend. Because in some ways that kind of size really leads to an existential crisis that is just hard to wrap our brains around. I really appreciate the metaphors and comparisons. This was the closest we will get to an ASMR relaxing journey through the universe. Welcome back and its been an honor to get a chance to speak with you more in depth.
