I work at an internet callcenter, I hear from customers getting scammed all the time. We try to advise customers that companies like microsoft will never give out numbers like this and certainly not need any customer action to refund money.

Had a three minute long conversation with one of these scammers today. Knew immediately it was a scammer so I decided to play along for a few minutes. Told him a video popped up and he made an inappropriate comment. Told him it was a Mark Rober video and I knew exactly what he was up to. He hung up.

I have the ultimate solution to this grand mess: Don't make money the means of a successful existence. Money was never a solution to any problem - it was only the barrier that enforced your selfishness. If you all shared with each other, helped one another, and forgave your mistakes, I promise that this world would be a lot more straightforward and a lot less threatening. Listen to my words, for you may only see them *once* before it is too late and the world is already crumbling in the palms of your hands.
